Join us for an escorted holiday by rail to Italy’s Riviera of Flowers and the Côte D’Azur. We start with an afternoon departure on Eurostar from St Pancras International to Lille or Paris. After an overnight stay in a hotel, we join the TGV to Nice, then travel by coach to our hotel in Diano Marina.
This pretty seaside resort is situated on Italy’s Riviera of Flowers where a mild climate ensures summer comes early and continues well into October. It has stylish, chic shops and pavement cafés with a relaxed atmosphere as well as a long promenade.
We will visit Monaco & Monte Carlo and Eze, a French, medieval village perched like an eagle’s nest on a rocky peak overlooking the Mediterranean sea with spectacular views.
In Italy we visit the medieval village of Dolceacqua where you will find a 12th century castle and a picturesque 15th century single-arch bridge; and Portofino one of the most photogenic fishing ports in the Mediterranean, to which we travel by boat; and San Remo, the capital town of the Italian Riviera of Flowers.
We stay at the Hotel Arc en Ciel situated within a few metres of the sea in Diano Marina.
